The Inaugural Heartland Assocation of Fairs, Festivals & Events Convention to be held in-person November 2020 has been canceled. The Board of Directors has been busy putting together a virtual educational series meeting monthly as an alternative value to our members.
Kicking off our educational series Thursday, November 19, 2020 at 7:00pm (CST) is Michael Bradley, our convention keynote speaker. He will be covering 'Change-the Next Opportunity!' Change is the very word that we all fear. This presentation outlines the impacts of the Pandemic and our future, but more importantly, the opportunities for fairs. From entertainment seating, to livestock shows to the safety of our guests and staff.
Friday, November 20, 2020 at 12:00pm (CST) is when the Annual Meeting will be held. During the Annual Meeting, a vote will be held on the addition/changes to the association's by-laws, as well as introducing the Board of Directors for the 2021 Fiscal year. Starting immediately, members are encouraged to bring their membership up to date by renewing their membership on-line, via mail, or online.
Note: All sessions will be held virtually.
Educational sessions will be offered at no charge to current members as an added value to your membership! We look forward to the line-up and will continue to update and add addtional sessions throughout the year.

We pay tribute to those who have given much to the fair industries in North and South Dakota. Below you will find those were honored by the respective North and South Dakota Fair Associations prior to merging to form the Heartland Association of Fairs, Festivals and Events.

The Heartland Association of Fairs, Festivals and Events (HAFFE) was founded in 2019 with the goal of assisting regional fairs, festivals, events and associates by sharing information, ideas and practices that assist in promoting events and growing attendance. HAFFE also helps to connect those looking for talent with quality entertainment for events. ANY fair, festival, event, or individual from the Dakotas or surrounding region is eligible for membership, with associate membership open to any appropriate support business or organization.
Any fair, festival, event, associate or individual may become a member of the Heartland Association of Fairs, Festivals and Events! Members will be listed in the membership directory that will be handed out at our annual convention, as well as displayed on our website, allowing for additional exposure to help reach individual goals. Members will also receive a wealth of information that will help in generating new ideas to enhance future events. We invite you to apply for HAFFE membership, as well as view information on our current members.
